Dear Team,
We are using Autodesk Vault 2012 and license server kept in another location assuming name X. Since we have more usage of Vault, we have implemented vault server 2102 in our local server naming Y.
While configuring the Mirrored folder in local place, we have replicated the data folder from old server(X) location so, we are able to Check-in & check-out the data to both servers and working on.
We need to remove the data folder from Y location now so, could you please suggest me, is there any possibility to access the X server data folder through Y Server on its license without having replication storage in Y server.
Awaiting for your valuable Suggestion.
Regards,
Unnikrishnan TK

If all you are worried about is pulling a license from another pool, then you can do this using the ADSKFLEX_LICENSE_FILE system environment variable on the ADMS server. You can specify more than one license manager, so it should fail over to the Y server if there are none available on X.
The ADMS Vault server pulls the license, not the client. So, that server would have to see both license managers as if it were set up in a distributed license scheme.
You'd just need to set the variable values to @SERVERX;@SERVERY;
That should get what you want accomplished. Just make sure connectivity is there via IPv4 and ports 2080 and 27000 are open.
