Paint CableTray on Fine Detail

Hello,

This year I developed a plugin called ConduitMaterial, that applies material on conduits using paint. 

I tried to apply the same technique on Cable Trays and discovered that it's impossible to apply the material on Cable Trays when the view is in Fine Detail, only works on Medium Detail.

Actually, when you Paint a Cable Tray face on the Fine Detail, Revit selects the face on the Medium Detail. Like the Gif!

I tried to select the Fine Detail faces using the Api and paint but Revit does not allow me to paint these faces.

One solution should be when painting the Medium face the related face on the Fine Detail should be painted too.

Like that when I render or export an IFC file the Cable Tray gonna have the applied Material.

Or Revit could add the ability to apply Material on Conduit and CableTray like the related links below.
