Please Add "F2" hotkey for Rename Materials into the Material Dialog box.

I agree. Not being able to rename material in Material Browser with F2 hotkey is great incosistency in Revit user interface. All other entities can be renamed with F2

It would be really nice if you could do this. One hotkey to change filename in Windows and material name in Revit
