Consistency: rename / duplicate items

Consistency: rename / duplicate items

If I select a view in the Project Browser and press F2, I can change the name of the view. If I right-click a view and choose Duplicate, it duplicates the view and adds Copy x to the name. Now I open the Visibility/Graphics Overrides, click Object Styles and want to change the name of a subcategory. So I press F2. Not. I have to click the Rename button. Next, I click the Filters tab. I want to change the name of a filter. So again I press F2. Not. Hey, where's the Rename button? Not. Been replaced with an icon.

I close this window and open the Manage View Templates window. I want to duplicate a view, so I right-click a view template. Not. I have to click the Duplicate icon. However, it doesn't duplicate the view template and adds something like Copy x to the name, no, I have to type in a new name. Etc.

So: make the Revit UI consistent all the way.

UI is awfully inconsistency

Couldn't agree more.

Dear Autodesk - this is not a feature. This is clear omission, bug, inconsistency, sloppiness - call it whatever you wish.  Even Microsoft gets this done better. Time to get this fixed.
