Increased API Functionality for Sections

Sections in the API need a bit more love. 

There is basic functionality missing that should just be there. 

The biggest thing missing is the Location property.

To Get and Set the property is essential when you just can't delete and create new.

Also these three basic functionality:

• Check if section is flipped, and flip it through the API
• Get and Set the section heads individually at each end.
• Create gaps and remove gaps

Basically, just have access to the same buttons and controls we see in the UI:

There doesn't seem to be a lot of support for this idea, but surely Revit users waste as much time as I do very regularly adjusting section markers to align on view and move them outside grids/dimensions/notes etc. Giving API access to be able to easily manipulate the section heads/tail locations in plan, section and elevation views would be a huge time saver, so I just can't understand why Autodesk continue to ignore requests for this to be programmatically editable. I am able to access the coordinates, but I don't seem to be able to change them and everything I have read and tried on AI seems to say that they are not editable via the API.

Perhaps while they are at it, they should add the ability to access and edit scope box extents to the API too.

Just came across this since I started looking into macros for things that are a pain to do manually - like dragging the little section line end dot to align sections on a sheet over and over again. Doesn't seem to be a way do this with a macro/add-in.
