Why do I need to install "Inventor Interoperability 2024"?

I recently upgraded my AutoCAD 2023 to AutoCAD 2024. Now, each time I open AutoCAD I see the following:

And when I click on "Install" this is what happens:

My questions are:

1. Why do I need to install this?
2. How do I install it? Why it fails every time?

Prease Update Inventor

Go to the Autodesk Accounts page or the Autodesk Desktop App and make sure that the latest update is applied.

Prior screen do you have a check box to unclick?

See if you can download and install it manually.  Maybe it will give you a better reason as to why it is failing, if it does.

Same problem , error while installing inventor interoperbility 2024 ,with autodesk destokp or manually

No, there is no indication as to why this is needed. I just started seeing this too, and have no need for it. I am not about to install more bloated, buggy Autodesk software to cover up issues previous versions did not have. There is no check box to stop this irritating pop-up from reappearing every time I open files tainted by this issue. I have even deleted and purged everything from the file, and still the message appears.

I see a different Error message.

I have installed Inventor 2023 and Vault Professional 2023.

Tip: if you use msconfig and disable the Autodesk Access service, that pop-up still appears, but then disappears after wards. I was getting annoyed with notifications for updates, and disabled Autodesk Access on the msconfig Services and Startup tabs, and subsequently noticed the Inventor Interoperability pop-up disappeared on it's own shortly after it showed up. You might try uninstalling Autodesk Access, but I left it installed just in case.
