Maya - Force-re-activation does not work

Hi there

When I started up Maya 2014 (education version) yesterday, I was told that I have 7 days left before my license expires. There hasn't been any changes to my computer.

I followed the instructions outlined in the post below a few times but to no avail.

I wonder if this requires some work on the Autodesk's back-end?

Would be grateful if anyone knows another way to resolve this.

Thank you.

Can you not go to Help > About > Product Information and then activate?

Thanks for responding! I tried that and, although it would successfully activate the license, problem is it will ask me to activate it again when I next start Maya. bOOn

Try deleting the _TSF file under C:\ProgramData\FLEXnet and then launch as Administrator and try to activate again.  It should hold...

Hi @TravisNave

I followed your instructions - deleted TSF files and launched Maya as an Administrator. The problem persisted. Once I closed it and re-launched Maya, I was asked to activate again. Last evening I tried to restore my laptop to a point before this happened (on 1 Sep). That did not help too. Would reinstalling help? Cheers. bOOn

@TravisNave

Hi there Travis - Thought I would bring closure to this. Thanks very much for helping me earlier. I decided to upgrade to Maya 2016 (with the same serial number) and it works fine. May be it was Autodesk's way to make me upgrade? ;- ) In any case, this is now resolved. Have a great day.

cheers
