Yes, they are typically good for 3 to 5 versions back. It's kind of cryptic in the LIC file, but you can actually open it in Notepad and see how far back the products go on the PACKAGE.
You can also use the license parser. It's mostly accurate.
If you still can't figure it out, send me the LIC file in a PM (do not share it publicly) and I will take a look for you. It's kind of my specialty.

Be very very careful not to mix up the two on your work. Autodesk will fail you on an audit and it will come with heavy fines. Five figure heavy.
