Computer Cloning

I have made a clone of a computer with AutoDesk 2016. I would like to know how to strip out the software serial number, so that I can make another clone with no license information. That way when we get a new user, I just fire up that clone and add a new AutoDesk license and they are ready to go, quickly.

If someone could please tell me how to cut a serial number out of the software, that would be very helpful.

This is not helpful, as that question I'm asking is not a common question that a standard video can answer. Again, I want to know how to remove a serial number from AutoDesk 2016. Keep in mind the License Transfer Utiilty does not work in this scenario, because, since the software was registered form another physical machine, it sees this machine as a fraud. My goal here is to increase effeciency, by having an unlicensed image of a computer with AutoDesk 2016, ready and waiting, everytime we add a new PC to our environment. That way I can set up users quickly.

Thanks

Generally cloning doesn't work well on stand-alone versions like it does on
network ones. Your best bet is to install as trial before cloning.

Otherwise maybe delete the license files under
C:\ProgramData\Flexnet\adsk*.data then activate.

Good Luck!

If you have any more than a handful of licenses, start working towards network licensing.  Much, much better solution!
