Can you change registry limited to 'unlimited'?

My Pc have 2 folders in the Registry system  with similar name (controlSet001 and controlSet002) and both have the key RegistrySizeLimit exactly you mention.

I create a key named:RegistrySizeLimit into CurrentControlSet\Control  (see the image) the same way you said, but the problem persist.

I think the problem is: vcredist_x64.exe. I can't install it.  I have five C++ install in my pc.:

1- Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 ATL Update kb973923 - x64 8.0.50727.4053

2- Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable
3- Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable x64

4- Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable x64 9.0.30729.4148

5- Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable x86 9.0.30729.4148

Best Regards,

Raul

Hello Raul:

Please uninstall and re-install the VCREDIST packages. Usually, it works best to uninstall them in this order

2010 x86

2008x64

2008x86

2005x64

2005x86

Then reinstall in the opposite order:

2005 x86

2005 x64 etc.

You can locate the packages in the 3rdParty\x86 and 3rdParty/x64 VCREDIST folders in the install media or deployment.

Let us know if this resolves the problem you are encountering.

Sharing my experience: with error codes 1603, 1619. Partial log files below.

I am a student trying to install Revit Architecture and Civil 3D on a new installation of windows7 as the primary OS of two.

Civil 3D Problem - Pop up window during install  ".Net 4.0 is not installed..."

Civil 3D Fix          - In programs and features I selected uninstall/change for the:

                                     "Microsoft .NET Framework 4 Client Profile, and Extended."

                                     Then selected "Repair" for both of them.

                            - Also I completed several Microsof Updates after repairing the two.

                            - Then reinstalled Civil 3D and everything worked great, also uptaded Civil 3D

Revit Problem    - Failed to install C++ and everything else 2.5sec after selecting install

                                       Also pop up during install "Failed to find node://Blahblahblah... System error: -2147020584"

Revit Fix            - Went through files prevously suggested in this thread (3rdParty>x64 (and x84)>VCRedist)

                                      Maunally installed (or repair if available)

                          - When repairing C++ 2010 under x84 files

                                      Repair failed because "newer version of C++ 2010 exists."

                          - in Programs and Features I "Unenstalled" this version of C++

                                      tried again to "Repair" this C++ file under 3rdParty files and it worked. sucessfull install.

                          - Then reinstalled Revit and installation was sucessfull.

Keep in mind on the log files, you do not have to worry about Failure Ignorederrors, nor the Rollback lines.  Those are not relevant to the error.  In your log, the failure is with the Install of the Visual C++ Redistributables.
