Why does desktop app start even when disabled?

I went to windows 10 task manager, startup tab, and set the adesk desktop app to disabled.

It still starts up, and I have to end the task to kill it.

Shall I just uninstall it, Autodesk?

Do what I do and many other experts here do. Uninstall it from Control
Panel.

The Expert Elites have it, down with the desktop app, which has absolutely nothing to do with my desktop.

So Autodesk, how much did you spend to develop that little gem?

Adjust the app service:

  1. Type services.msc into the Start menu.
  2. Double-click Autodesk Desktop App Service.
  3. Change the Startup Type to "Manual" and click OK
