The system cannot find the file specified _AI5D73.tmp/x64/max/3dsMax.msi

Okay so I am starting my class that i need this for in 2 days, this is whats going wrong.

I downloaded the 3ds Max 2017 and it worked just fine, but I realized that my school work will be revolved around 2016 and the interface is different so i got rid of it to install the 2016 version as I am not experienced with the program well enough to be on different versions than my instructor. Now when I try to install it, i get that error "The system cannot find the file specified. C:/Users/Owner/AppData/Local/Temp/_AI5D73.tmp/x64/max/3dsMax.msi no matter how many times I try, or any versions I try. I have gone through this site looking for answers all day and seen this one about Orca. I do not understand the 2.) Copy the install media for 3ds max to a local drive or navigate to the downloaded installer directory. Find the install msi for 3ds Max, usually  x64/max/3dsmax.msi step. could you elaborate on this, ive already downloaded Orca but I cant put the media that is in my downloads folder from this site into Orca. I am just missing the 3dsmax.msi file thats suppose to come with the _AI5D73.tmp/x64/max folder, for some reason when i try to install 3ds Max, it doesnt include it. So Is there a way to find this file on this site or another that i can download, copy and paste into the "specified file"? Please help

Hello emerryman and welcome to the Autodesk community!

It looks like you're seeing the "The system cannot open the device or file specified" error. This error typically occurs if you use Trend Micro Anti-Virus software. The following article(s) should help you resolve the problem:

Mark is right.  We'll always find your post one way or another.  Double-posting is not necessary.

Thanks.

Mark, I accidentally posted two of them because i did not think the first one went through because I could not find the thread to save to my bookmarks to check for responses. Travis, i don't think it's necessary to repeat the information given by Mark, but thank you for the solidarity. Also, I didn't ask to be called, I just wanted  a response that was not automated so that I could get better results, as I have already read many different forums on the topic and there was no solutions. ORCA was in one of those forums given by someone within the company and the steps were a little confusing. I ended up solving this issue by restoring my computer to a precious point before I installed the 2017 version, and I was able to install the correct (2016) version. Thank you for your answers and time, I am now able to use it. Have a great day.

That's fine if you didn't think your first posting when through (no problem)...  Smiley Wink  But you have to understand @TravisNave and my point of view when we are responding to numerous posting a day trying to help users like you...   Many times users are creating duplicate postings hoping they will get a faster response if they do it here or there...  In the end it just adds confusion and misleading information...

A couple of things in your latest reply..

You indicated you never asked to the be called and only wanted a response from a human and not a OTTO.  Which is fine..  However you did make a statement in your other posting that stated "Please have a representative contact me as soon as possible. "...  Smiley Wink  We can only interpret what we read...  Smiley Happy

What is this ORCA you keep referring to?   I'm confused by this acronym..  Please clarify..
