This indicates that there is a problem with your license file. Try to get a
new one.

Sounds like you didn't append your 2009 license file correctly.

How are you generating your license file? And are you combining it with another license file?

Likely you're not merging those files correctly. Essentially the error
message says that there should be a line that starts with COMPONENT that is
not proper. Without telling us more specifically what you're doing it's hard
to help with.

Getting the same error here, but license file was generated by Autodesk. No merging of license files were necessary.

Interesting. Is there a Package increment in your license file? This is only available to customers under Subscription.

I am having the same error. I was wondering how can you find out exactly which license is giving the error?

Hi,

have a look at this doc on the Autodesk Website:

Error -125,147: This license cannot be checked out because: A PACKAGE component must be specified
http://usa.autodesk.com/getdoc/id=TS1093987

Regards

FWIW: This error may have to do with PACKAGE components not recognizing qualified hostnames.

I get this error when I use a hostname of the form host.domains.topdomain in my license file. When I remove it, no error.

Also, when I remove the domain information, Inventor Series 2009 will serve licenses to ACAD 2009 or ACADM 2009 as it is supposed to do. But if I have it in, it will not.

I do not have a work around for this yet, other than leaving out the domain qualifier!

I'd be interested in knowing if anyone else has further information on this issue and the -125,147 error.

I am getting the same error with AutoCad Civil 2010 and Civil 3D 2010. Both license files were generated by Autodesk.

Additionally, when I lauch AutoCad the client tell me it cannot find a valid license and generates "Error -96.491.0"

Help Appreciated

It was the firewall on the server in my case.

Check AutoDesk bulletin TS1093987 ...

That diagnostics feature in FlexNet did not work properly with AutoCad 2009 and obviously it does not work properly with 2010 or 2011 either because I get the same error, but the Status Inquiry indicates licenses are being check out and everything is functioning normally.  Also, I cannot find a follow-up to that bulletin which indicates that the diagnostics problem has been resolved.  I would like to see one.
