Difficulty loading AutoCAD

I'm currently using AutoCAD Architecture 2025 on Windows 11 platform.  I have made no changes in settings nor have there been any updates that I am aware of before my problem started.

I select the AutoCAD icon from the task bar.  The loading screen opens and it appears to be going through the loading process but will hangs in the initializing phase and will not start.  I've waited as long a 15 minutes but get nothing.  I can than use Task Manager to End Task and then pick again on the task bar icon and it will start just fine.

AutoCAD is the only app on my system that does this.

I have attempted to follow the online steps in settings to modify the installation but in the selection process "modify" is grayed out and I can't continue.

Any ideas on what might be the problem?

Could be a corrupt user profile. Rename / delete this map C:\Users\<name>\AppData\Roaming\Autodesk\AutoCAD 2025 and this registry key hkcu\Software\Autodesk\AutoCAD\R25.0 and then run AutoCAD. It will recreate the necessary files and keys with the default values.

Have you had any changes to the PC / Firewall-AntiVirus?

What happens if you unplug from the Network/Internet/WIFI and try starting it?  Does it come up faster?

It might be delayed on the licensing verification.

To be clear:  Do you want me to delete the entire \AppData\Roaming\Autodes\ACA2025 folder?

Have you considered doing a Windows System Restore back to a date when your AutoCAD was working? It's something you might try if the above solutions do not resolve your issue.

Good Luck!
