The biggest issue is... it's JUMPY!  I'm not sure where the logic is that if I move it a certain direction that it should skip to the next set of girders, but as it is this is not a good user control. Users expect to be moving things in a smooth and consistent fashion; there should be almost no case where it should be jumping to random locations unless it is a jump to be exactly where your cursor is.   See images (sorry; I have a video, but couldn't link it) for explanation of the issue: {note where my cursor is}       Show More

That must be possible to modify Infraworks bridge elements in Revit unstaid of Inventor. Civil peoples doesnt know the mecanic softwares of Inventor. That is a major problem for us. Maybe a connected and friendly user interface in Infraworks can be the solution.  Take a look to the direct competitor of Bentley Openbridge workflow that is easyer to modelise bridge element to add to the model. Allow creating a skewed bridge concrete surface (skewed start/end section of the bridge) similar to that on the bridges in the attached image, to show bridge dilatation for instance. At the moment only abutments and piers, etc. can be skewed.  Show More

Hello, I think Decals are very important for 3d software's. if I would have opportunity to use decals for road striping it would be fantastic. or to have opportunity duplicate directly terrain overlay. one of these two would be very nice feature for infraworks. also if there would be feature to import .sdf or .shp as decal objects. because as we know, over the component road, it is impossible to put layer for road striping you need to create 3 models and import, but decal would solve the problem very fast.     Show More

When the family of a girder or a tunnel is deleted (or doesn't sync right) then NOTHING shows up in the model. This means that you have nothing to select to change to a different family. Instead, it should show a default profile (maybe a string of IFX Cubes) that the users can then select to change to a family from. Show More

The ability to bring in position representations and view representations from Inventor into Infraworks. The users would also be able to state whether the positions are keyframes for an animation (which Infraworks then loops through). Very easy way for users to be able to add animated components as they require, especially if the keyframes can be used to control the animations. Show More

Ability to override a parameter being driven by Infraworks (eg. Girder web height). This would show up in Infraworks with RED as a value and deleting/clearing off value returns to driven value (Eg. Similar to Inventor BOM overrides). There's the odd situation where this is required so that users can make a quick change without having to publish a new part that has an override built in. Rather than having a 'cross-brace' and 'splice' and 'diaphragm'.... have a 'single-profile or multi-profile' component; leave it at that. Even better, provide the option to create their own type of Single-Profile/ Multi-Profile entities and get them their own names/ information onto Show More

Ideally this would be a full-fledge 'just as good as the component road', but even in the interrim; It 'should' be easy enough to just made a new button called component rail that calls up the same road command but with different defaults on it. The importing of textures into Infraworks is buggy and kind of garbage. Make this ability more simple and robust and users will be able to make prettier models.   Ideally, the materials for multiple software would all be cloud shared and distributed so that I don't have to import from one to other and Inventor/Revit/Civil3D/Infraworks can all look at a common set of material/appearance libraries. It's a minor pain, but having to Import the family, then Import the UI, then Import the Sizes is dumb. Provide users either one import button for both the UI and sizes {system would import them in that order, but one user command} or if the user has an appropriately named JSON file in the same folder as the family being added, to automatically import the JSON to the UI and Sizes. Ability to say whether a specfic profile is swept to the next instance of the component (or next slice) as opposed to being just a patterned instance. This could be done by just giving the extrusion in Inventor a special prefix that Infraworks then recognizes and takes over (eg. SweptProfile_XXXXXXX).
