However, we must still import 3D objects from Civil 3D with texture to InfraWorks.   I solved it by using.DAE, step by step. - Import Civil 3D object to Sketchup; - Export it to.DAE file; - Import.DAE file to InfraWorks.   I saw it worked well. I find the parking tools in InfraWorks to be quite agile. However, a drawback is that they drape to existing ground instead of the planned roads and road surfaces.   A workaround is to export the proposed ground and import it as existing ground. However, then its easier to sketch the parking rows in Civil 3D from the beginning and not use the parking tools within IW at all Show More

When i importe data from civil 3d to IW the application give a list of alignment and enable user to chose which aligments and corridor come along with them should be use. The problem is 1 alignment maybe be used by many corridors and some of which i dont want to bring to IW model. IW should give user a more flexible options of import civil3d data than this Show More

Hi. We need cut surface(slope) model of road design ,both surface(Resent terrain filled after by artificial deposit) and subsurface(Old terrain before the deposit ) plane. Infraworks seems that it can not represent both plane at the cut surface of road planning. I hope that it will be able to show both surfaces on the Inraworks model. The custom grading should also save to assembly libray as well not just the components (or there maybe a separated library for grading). Also when i reimport data source of imported alignments the custom grading is wipe out and i have to readjust grading one more time for each data source changments. It would be good if the creation of railway corridors was based on a similar principle as roads. -This means that there are more bridges to choose from to make beautiful bridges like the roads. -It would be even better if it were possible to aim the slope at the terrain in the slope that I determine, which is not possible now. When importing shape areas as a Grading feature, it is not possible to get Cut&Fill volumes in the Terrain Statistics for them. The idea is to enable full Terrain Statistics for any imported Grading area (plus Coverage Area).  Show More

InfraWorks doesn't support the Closed alignment circle objects created from Fixed Curve in Civil 3D. There should be at least a 1 mm gap between the ends of it or the corridor needs to be created from it.
