Dear Autodesk Team, I hope you're doing well. I would like to propose the addition of a custom benching feature in Autodesk InfraWorks, similar to the benching options available in Civil 3D for cut and fill slopes. Specifically, this feature would enable users to define and apply custom bench heights, widths, and configurations for terraced slopes. In Civil 3D, the "Benching" option for cut sections allows users to create terraced slopes with controlled bench widths and heights, offering flexibility in managing steep terrain, reducing erosion, and improving slope stability. Expanding this capability into InfraWorks, with additional control for the following parameters, would significantly enhance the design workflow for infrastructure projects: Customizable bench height and width for cut and fill slopes. Multi-layered slope designs where different bench styles can be applied based on terrain conditions. Slope grading control based on user-defined templates, providing more accurate visualizations of terraced terrain. Integration with terrain analysis tools for better optimization of earthworks and drainage management. This feature would streamline workflows by allowing designers to develop complex graded slope designs directly within InfraWorks, reducing the need to switch between InfraWorks and Civil 3D for such tasks. It would also enhance the level of detail and accuracy in early-stage planning and conceptual modeling, benefiting infrastructure and site development projects. I believe this addition would greatly improve grading designs and help align InfraWorks' functionality more closely with Civil 3D. I would appreciate your consideration of this request and look forward to your feedback.
