Infraworks railways corridor (I think you can do better)

Infraworks railways corridor (I think you can do better)

It would be good if the creation of railway corridors was based on a similar principle as roads.

-This means that there are more bridges to choose from to make beautiful bridges like the roads.

-It would be even better if it were possible to aim the slope at the terrain in the slope that I determine, which is not possible now. So what I don't understand why?

Is your request to add similar functionality to railway as is the case with component roads? Where the latter allows for modeling of parametric bridges and tunnels etc.

Is the request to add to railway modeling the functionality that InfraWorks has for component roads (ie. modeling parametric bridges and tunnels etc.)?

Yes exactly

Currently, the recommended workflow is to use a component road where rail decorations are added. This then allows for the modeling of parametric bridges and tunnels.

I know about this solution, but it is quite an expensive program so it should be in the base. In addition, when the road crosses, it makes a different display of the crossing than it should look like with the railway

You are quite correct in calling out one of the key challenges that we would need to resolve in order to enhance rail modeling in InfraWorks to work as "component rail", similar to "component roads": handing intersections.

Best practice for these situations is to leverage C3D to have full control using corridors and then bring these in as data sources in InfraWorks, to then add bridges/tunnels etc.
