It would be very useful to have the option to specify views in the Grid where columns visibility can be configured, especially when there are a lot of columns. This could work just like the BOM-Views where you configure this in the Workspace Manager, and the end-user selects the desired View above the Grid on the item. To further expand this idea, each View could have permissions assigned to it. That way, if a user does not have permission to any Grid View that contains a specific column, then the user would not be able to see this column. Expand this even further and Permissions could be read or write, so if you have read permission to a Grid View, you can see all the columns included in the Views, and if you have write permission you can edit all the fields that are configured as editable. There are cases where we do not want all users to be able to read all the visible data in the whole grid, and there are many times where we don't want all the users to be able to edit all of the editable fields. Most of the time we want some users to be able to read/edit just some of the columns, while other users should be able to read/edit more/other columns. This is not possible to configure today, it's either all or none.
