To convince users to move from Excel is very painful, because adding/entering data is so slow. We have approx. 25 columns in both grid and BOM tab. First, there is no on-edit trigger – we have data integrity problems because users forget to run an on demand script that handles our calculations. To give an example of expectations, a quick Google finds an example JavaScript widget: https://handsontable.com/examples?manual-resize&manual-move&conditional-formatting&context-menu&filters&dropdown-menu&headers The display performance is excellent The grid has a clean feel, with less wasted whitespace. Faint grid lines help visibility Moving around is natural (tab to cell, cursor keys, …) The columns filter in a familiar Excel-type way Drill down (multi-column filtering) in familiar Excel-type way Numeric columns are correctly aligned (eg right for numbers) Display of data is localised to browser settings (decimal points, etc) Columns are color-coded red/green for negative results Selecting ranges, and copy/paste from Excel works naturally Ability to freeze columns so when entering data on right side, I am sure what I am editing Export directly to CSV Nested headers Collapsible columns to hide very wide data Ability to hide columns when working Copy down functionality Cell level validations Different permissions for columns (like section permissions on item details page) … Please play with the example above to give an idea of what users are expecting from a grid widget in a webpage. To help acceptability of our FLC-based solution, we request consideration to a re-implementation of the FLC Grid widget, and on edit trigger for other tabs. Thank you Maarten.

License management in F360M is not good enough In the security from F360M you can see which user is “ACTIVE”, “INACTIVE” or “DELETED”. If a User is having a License or not, is set in the Autodesk Account. The User can only work, if in the Account is a License assigned to the User. The synchronization between the Account and F360M should be done, when the User login in F360M. Then the status from the License is updated. However, this is a major problem. This causes differences between the Account and F360M. Users, that are no longer in the company, can’t login in F360M. The User does not have a License, because it is removed in the Account. Or the User left the company and does not go to F360M and login anymore. In case of that, in F360M are Users listed with a Licence. In the Account the License no longer assigned to this User. If you want to see as F360M Manager how many Licenses are pending, there is a gap between the Account and F360M. It needs a possibility to synchronise the Account License with F360M. The F360M Admin does not have always access to the Account. However, he is all coordinating with F360M.

Item visibility is determined by workspace permissions, and Additional Ownership. But picklists and “Add Item” (to Bom, Managed Items, Relationships tab, etc) show me items that I do not have the ability to view. This allows one supplier to see the existence of parts belonging to another supplier. (Not the items themselves, but their descriptor / existence) Or when I add a document to my part, I can see that sensitive documents exist just by their descriptors. A supplier could see which of their competitors their customer is using, based on descriptors. I cannot deploy some Bom building functionality because Add Item is allowing a supplier to see other suppliers’ component descriptors, which are otherwise hidden from him. For backwards compatibility, please implement as a General Setting checkbox “Filter Picklists and ‘Add’ by item visibility” = Y/N (default is N). This will improve the data security when incorporating supplier chain users into FLC, and help roll-out to functions where descriptor visibility is required (ITAR, defense, financial documents etc)

The editor of paragraph fields is outdated and not very user-friendly. It would be great if the user experience could be improved with the following small adjustments: Navigation through the text with arrow keys With the function "Clear Formating" the font and font size should also be reset Enable tab stop (with the keyboard) to indent text

Allow users to customize which column headings are used in the Outstanding Work and Bookmarks sections of Dashboards, similar to creating custom views in the ECO and ER workspaces. Currently the column headings are fixed. Allow users to sort charts on Dashboard, and to set Charts section to be expanded by default. Currently, charts are sorted at random, so related charts to not appear adjacent to one another. More than 10 items viewable in Outstanding Work, Bookmarks, and Recent Items sections Possibly allow users to maximize each section so page size is only limitation-- on vertical monitor full screen zoomed out, should be able to see like 50 list items Possibly a separate page for each section when you click the header? Possibly allow Outstanding Work and Bookmarks to be side-by-side column lists limited in viewable number of items only by window sizing? While you can make these customization in the various workspaces, the Dashboard is currently the only place where data is pulled in from multiple workspaces, but you can only see 10 items at a time, and can't change column headings to display useful information.

Currently Autodesk FLC doesn’t have the capability of allowing a public report to be cloned by any user other than an Admin. The ask is to allow cloning of established reports by ANY user in the system for reports that are made public. If security is a concern, place an option within the report configuration screen that disables cloning. This would be a huge time saver for the AT&T operations as today people are having to open publish reports, copy down the fields and other details, then create a new report manually trying to replicate the details. With the level of use in the system and people turn over, this is not a sustainable process. Another feature that would compliment this is the ability to Share/grant administrative access to reports without having to be an admin. Lastely and a pretty big one is the ability to report data across workspace. Currently FLC only allows reports to be created using data with an isolated WS. I am having to have built a metrics workspace to aggregate all the data to one to not only send data outside FLC to my system but also to allow reporting to be more flexible within FLC. This is a detractor to your platform not just because its not capable of this ask but also because I have to pay (not cheap) to fix what your platform can’t do out of the box…. Thanks

Some workflow transitions can have rather lengthy transition names (see below). If these workflow transition names could be made to be multi-line, we could reduce the size of workflows and make them more aesthetically pleasing and easier for customers to read.

Like this idea from 4 years ago, we need the ability to have multiple gridtabs for a record. We're definitely limited in what we can do with just a single gridtab. For example, we have a workspace of projects. I'm currently using the gridtab to list out all the associated charge numbers available for the project. Now I want to have another gridtab that I can aggregate up the hours entered from a time sheet workspace. I can't do this with a single gridtab.

It will be usefull if user can see where is actual workspace. Display path to workspace will be a solution. You can have in Fusion Manage more than one same named workspace, so only the name is not enought.

We know that we can make massive performance improvements in My Outstanding Work, by focusing on Condition scripts, and pre-filters. However, which workspace to focus on first? Which workspace is contributing the performance hit? Which is the slowest to evaluate? When Refresh of My Outstanding Work completes, could you please write a very brief summary to System Log… “Refresh completed – top 3 workspaces: #123 took 10 secs, #456 took 5 secs, workspace #888 took 2 secs.” Either actual seconds, or some percentage, or some indication, that could help us focus on the workspace the is the worst culprit. If we could effectively identify which workspaces need most attention, that would help Implementers, Users and the load on the tenants too 🙂 The impact of writing a summary entry to System Log would be trivial compared to the processing effort to re-calculate MoW.
