Hello to the Fusion Design Community!

In anticipation of the September update going out in the next couple of weeks, we've decided to do an early drop on the details of what community reoported bugs have been addressed this time around! If you want to get an early jump on these fixes, you're more than welcome to apply for the Insider Program and get early access!

We greatly appreciate you taking time out of your busy schedule to notify us of the issues that you find in Fusion, and we would like to show that appreciation!

In an ongoing effort to increase our transparency as well as our communication with you, we're continuing with our initiative of calling out all the Forum Reported bug fixes that are included in each update. The list below comprises all the issues that have been raised by our engaged community. So, without further ado, here is what we're going to see in the September 2024 update (creator of forum thread and the thread itself, in no particular order):

Still haven’t seen your issue on the list and wondering if/when it's going to get fixed? Don't hesitate to "bump" the original thread that you created, and I'll be happy to chase down the status of your issue!

Thanks for contributing to what makes the software truly great!

Not sure if this change came with this update or one before, but I'd like to propose some tweaking to it.

In previous versions, the "Save as Mesh" feature remembered whether to export as file or send to a print utility.

With the new dropdown list at the top of the dialog it always reverts back to "Export" requiring an extra step to select my own preference over and over again.

Hence I'd like to propose to either bring back "automatic recall" or add a new setting in the general preferences in order to explicitly designate my preferred option.

@scruff.r We have deployed a new version 2.0.20494 that should now address this issue. Please let us know your experience in this new version.

That's fantastic news! I'm excited to see the improvements coming in the September update. The transparency about addressing community-reported bugs is really appreciated.

I've been using Fusion for [number] years and have found it to be an incredibly powerful tool. However, I've encountered a few [specific issues you've experienced]. I hope these are addressed in the update.

I'm also curious to know if there are any new features or enhancements planned for the future. Thanks for the update and keep up the great work!

I am confused ... you mention the issues raised by @luca.giorcelli9CG7C about thumbnail generation. But i do not find any documentation about that ?

https://www.autodesk.com/products/fusion-360/blog/september-2024-product-update-whats-new/

Not listed/mentioned on the blogpost and i cannot find anything on the api reference for the Design object regarding thumbnails.
