Things go wrong sometimes, files get corrupted, someone accidentally deletes part of a project, the project manager wants the other version of the design back, or any number of other events. Sometimes you just need to Rollback a Revit project. Starting in the 2023 version these are the steps from inside of Revit.
- To view the various versions of an Autodesk Construction Cloud project, first, locate the project in the Project folder.
- Next, click on the ellipses ( … ) at the end of the name of the project name.
- Look for Version History in the list of options.
- This will bring up the history of the project with the version, name of who saved it, any comments put in the saved time, and date.
- To Rollback to another version, first, make sure everyone is out of the file.
- Next, click on the ellipses ( … ) at the end of the project by the date you need.
- Choose the version you want to restore and select Restore to version.
- Also, consider using this method to find Open and Audit for some problem files.
