Community Content Submissions & Publishing Rules

Content
The term “Content” in this context covers all user-generated artwork, tutorials, assets, articles, community blog posts, community tips, and general written, image or video content uploaded to Autodesk Community Sites (AREA, Autodesk Community Blogs, Conversations, Forums, Gallery, Group Network, Ideas, Tips). Any content submitted by an individual who is not of legal age in their location will not be published.

Dos

  • Be mindful of the Autodesk Community Terms, Rules and Etiquette here
  • Give your work a meaningful title. Make sure your title clearly reflects your submission´s contents, is as precise as possible and doesn’t contain any profanity or hateful language.
  • Submit a relevant description of or teaser for your work (as appropriate): this can range from your inspiration and backstory to your technique and workflow.
  • Submit multiple different images to showcase and/or illustrate your work: this can range from WIP (work-in-progress) imagery to multiple angles of your project, screenshots, and photos.
  • Run a grammar check on your work, including the title and description or teaser before submitting.
  • Credit any and all collaborators and references.
  • If you are using any images that are not your own, including AI-generated materials, make sure to credit the source and/or AI tool.
  • If possible or required on the site include a banner image and thumbnail image for your content. Ensure that it accurately represents the content.
  • Submit work that is watermarked. We strongly urge you to watermark your work with your name and social media handle or website so that if someone shares it without your knowledge, people will know where to find you and more of your work.
  • If you submit video content, best to include voice audio or enable transcripts.

Don’ts

  • Don’t submit work, title, or a description that contains sexually explicit subject matter or nudity, is hateful, degrading or that includes illicit drugs, profanities, guns, weapons, or graphic violence.
  • Do not plagiarize; do not post any content that was not created by you without credit, including AI-generated content.
  • Don’t include any text or logos in your banner image or thumbnail image.
  • Do not submit the same content more than once on the specific Community Sites.
  • Do not submit or post marketing, sales or spam content of any kind.

Note: If your work goes against our submission rules, we will not publish it.

Use of Model Documents

You may download and use model Documents expressly made available for download by other users for commercial purposes provided such use is only for the purpose of creating, within the ordinary course of your business, designs incorporating such models (and not for the purpose of creating or maintaining sites for the cataloging or access of models) and further provided that you retain all copyright and other proprietary notices in the original downloaded models. Documents specified above do not include the design or layout of this website or any other Autodesk owned, operated, licensed, or controlled website.

Termination and Cancelation

Autodesk reserves the right, at its sole discretion, and without any obligation to do so, to review and remove user-created services and content at will and without notice and delete content and accounts. Autodesk reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to temporarily or permanently ban participants or terminate access to the community if an account has been found to violate the Autodesk Terms.
