Searching on Autodesk Community is one of the fastest ways to find an answer – you don’t need to wait for a fellow community member to reply. With countless forums and topics, we recommend using the search to see if your question has already been answered.
There are two main ways to search on the Forums:
- This search bar searches the entire Autodesk website for community, product support and learning resources. You may get results for several products if you put an error message without a product name.
- This search bar searches the forum or product category you are currently viewing on Autodesk Community.
In the community search bar (the second one listed above), once you’ve put in your search query, your results will be returned and sorted by best match.
The green check marks on the side of some topics listed by the search mean there is an Accepted Solution for that topic available – click on the topic title to view the topic and try the solution. If the initial search didn’t list any helpful results, you can use the filters at the top to select how old a topic is or where in the community you are searching. You can also try changing the sorting option from ‘Best Match’ to something different, like ‘Date’ or ‘Views’.
If you still don’t find anything when searching, we recommend creating a topic. Click here to learn how to post on Autodesk Community.
