One of users requested that the Create New Item dialog box be a new window and allow it to be moved away from the RFIs and Submittals list. Right now the New Items dialog box covers the list underneath and cannot be moved out of the way. This applies to the Create New Item in Issues as well.

Hi, Right now, we can only see basic info when we create a PDF report. I would like to be able to see all the info related to these issues, such as complete description, photos, etc. This would now become also a tool to make field surveys (e.g. parking inspection) and field reports (e.g. Rebar or steel structure inspection during construction). Would be very useful! Thanks!

Dear Autodesk, For locations, it would be great if there was a possibility to drag and drop the levels/area's made to other folders. Now in case, you made one mistake and you need a higher folder. You need to delete all you made, make the highest folder and make all new sub-folders. And for a second improvement, at this moment you can export the locations. And import them. But you need to delete all the locations before you can import them again. If you assigned locations this creates issues at the issues (ironical). It would be great if you can export them and they make changes and import. At this moment it gives errors (at least at my tries). So in short, export locations, edit and keep GUID's and then import the file and keeping the guids at same assigned issues/etc. Best regards, Josha van Reij

Currently the Android and iOS apps have nice offline functionality including markup. Our project managers visit construction sites. And often there is no Internet there: no Wi-Fi, no 4G. We need an ability to create issues OFFLINE with attached pictures from tablet camera. Please.

The rectangle around the markup text is opaque which hides important information. Please add option to make it transparent/ translucent. Thanks !

Adding issues directly from clash tests has been great, except for one major flaw.... there is no way to view more than 1 model that is linked to an issue! Please add an option to: "add models to view" or "view additional models" when looking at the model linked to an issue.

Currently there are several different ways that you can set your screen up on the iPad and desktop on how to view options. However, there is no option to set your screen up with a filter that does not contain a word or phrase. This is very helpful if there are multiple items that have been entered and you do not want to see them on your screen but you do want to see other issues. For example, on our project the gc has entered in several items to remove blue plastic covering the ends of duct. As everyone knows, this cannot be done until the end of the project for indoor air quality reasons. So we would like to have these items hidden from our view until later on and if there was a do not contain filter for the description, this would solve this problem.

Hi, The category "safety" does not have the option of "inactive" as the other categories, there is only the option of inactive the subtypes but not the main category. By the way, they are making good improvements with the customization of "Issues". IssueBIM360_1.JPG

I would like to use Issue types during the design process, like (CL) Collision Used when stating a collision (AD) Addition Usen when something should be added (RE) Removal Usen when something should be deleted/removed (CH) Change/Move Used when changes needed to be done (QE) Question Used when the technical drawer has questions for the Engeneer (CO) Comment Used internaly by engineers to comment eachothers work (OH) On hold Used to indicate issues/areas on hold and that issues can be either private, public, or just for specific teams. The issues should be isolated to the design phase. It would be create if issues could be carry over to Revit models / sheets.

BIM 360 Field IDEA Subject: Autodesk BIM 360 Field - Bar Codes / duplicate field fix The feature that I am proposing has come a result of the feature not currently being available within BIM 360 Field (this was also checked by contacting AutoDesk help desk) and is due to a problem that I have found when transferring/mapping data to BIM 360 Field (via BIM Glue). The problem Please see the screenshot below which shows 2 barcodes; one is linked to a model and the other isn’t. The one which ISN’T linked to a model has data/information inside it and the other one that IS linked to a model is blank and has no information inside it. Transfer To Unique ID option.PNG In order to fix the problem and merge the information from one to the other, the only option that I can see is to download the instance which has data to the desktop pc (or server) and then to re-upload it to the instance that is linked to the model (not sure that is possible to download and transfer everything using this method – things such as checklists and activity log). I could then go through and delete the barcode which the data was originally in so to remove all duplicates. The problem with this method is that it would be tedious task to do it for each instance (as there are many instances of duplicate barcodes) and not sure how accurate it will be in terms of what gets transferred over and if it will be comprehensive and include checklists etc. I was hoping for a simpler fix and Autodesk don’t have one and have suggested an idea be submitted and got the following response from the helpdesk: “With regards to your request for a “quick/efficient” way to merge/transfer/duplicate information from one bar-code to another; this is not an available action at this time.” - Autodesk The Fix I believe this has happened as a result of some geometry (GUID) being changed and once re uploaded, rather than overwrite the existing (because it hasn’t recognised it), it has made a duplicate barcode (and I don’t recall an option or popup to indicate or give the option to link to an existing instance/field within BIM 360 Fields database – I believe that this maybe the simpler fix Ideas for a future Interface I believe an extra option in the “More actions” drop down list could have a “toggle transfer information” button in order to show a check box next to the particular field that is selected with an option to select the field or the barcode/unique id etc in order to transfer information over. A drop down menu which would allow a setting to be toggled on and off would be useful in the case where two identical barcodes exist (due to model’s being deleted and the barcode being uploaded again and not been recognised by GUID). Toggle bim field idea.PNG When this toggle feature is switched ON, the checklist should allow the user to either “transfer all” or “transfer specific” by selecting different radio buttons or checklist buttons to select images, checklist, documents, etc, and then to have a drop down to select the other field to which you want to transfer the data/information to (in which this case it would be the linked model fields from the duplications) Even a duplicate field (barcode) feature which highlights any fields which in essence should be unique such as barcodes To put it simply a toggle switch to allow transferring or copying information from one field to another would be useful e.g Select the item you want to transfer or copy from then click on the field want to move to(or select the unique ID/barcode) then select which information is to be copied(copy) or completely transferred over (cut and paste) I hope this description has been thorough and that it’s comprehendible/intelligible.
