Clarification as requested - 2/14/2025:  Any feedback in this forum thread that does not directly say that a feedback form has been submitted, and even some that does, is being captured and logged for the team to look into.  We may not respond directly to each post but we will add a "Like" to the post to indicate that we have seen and logged it.  If we have anything meaningful that we can add at the moment, we will reply with that.  If we do not reply, it means that we simply don't have anything to add to that request at the time.  We are adding links to the posts that we submit, and giving details on which individual post the team should look at, as well as including any images you share.  We do not have a way to add videos to the feedback form, but these are still welcome and appreciated, and we make a note of it on the form when we submit it so the team knows to look for the video.  Thank you!

As you can see from this recent blog post on our Autodesk Community Blog, the Autodesk Community Forums will soon be getting a new look and feel.  This new look is part of our efforts to modernize the community and place key resources where you can more easily find them. 
 
Some of you have had an early look at these updates during our recent A/B testing across the community. We extend our sincere thanks to everyone who shared their feedback during this phase. Your insights and comments have been instrumental in refining this design.  Here are some of the changes you will see: 

• Updated Forums experience: Enhanced navigation, optimized mobile experience, new threaded posts and the ability to upvote content. 

• Recommended content: Explore new content sections featuring suggested blog posts, events, and additional resources tailored to your interests.  

• Recognition for top contributors: Visual recognition to help you get to know the most active members in the community. 

• Changes based on your A/B test feedback: We’ve made several updates based on your valuable feedback detailed in the Product News posts on our Autodesk Community Blog.  

We would love to continue to hear your feedback on this redesign, so we have created a feedback form, which you can bookmark for future use, to report any issues or suggestions that you have.

Thanks for your service.

It appears that the timestamp (in the post listing page ) for the reply by the most recent responder may be for the us west coast rather than the users local time.

I assume that that irregularity would  be noticed when the changes get checked, but just in case it gets missed . . .

The time zone settings is now wrong.

I posted this message at 12:37 pm but the forum is showing up as 9:37 am even thought my time zone is set Eastern time.

I'm guessing that time display incorrectly uses the server time, which appears to be PDT.

Thank you for the update.

I thought I would take a few minutes to post before the weekend read-only shut down.
We're seeing some changes. I'm not sure exactly what's happening, but I haven't seen any industry hub type changes so more may be on the way.

Apparently, we'll see a blog post shortly.

What I have noticed so far:

1. The topic listings have gone to a two line format.
   This is an improvement. I don't think it's optimal, but I can live with it.
2. On the topic discussing pages, the reply numbers have been reinstated.
   That is a good thing.
   It adds to the white space but that is a windmill that I'm not going to tilt at right now.
3. Threading has not been implemented.
4. The upper right reply button has disappeared.
   The topic reply button is now black which distinguishes it from the comment replies.
   I think this is a good thing.
5. The reply now opens up the inline editor. The editor tools are expanded and are the more robust toolset from the inline editor.
6. The editor box cannot be stretched manually.
   I am sure it is on a list to be corrected.
7. Text box behavior seems to be the same when posting a reply.
8. Edit 2025-04-28 The Container Width has increased by about 20% Allowing for more information/
   Good. 

I look forward to the blog post and a description of what has been done so we can evaluate it.

As of 3:30 PM, Arizona time, 2025-04-27, the forums seem to be up and running.

The notice: "Autodesk Community will be read-only between April 26 and April 27 as we complete essential maintenance. We will remove this banner once completed. Thanks for your understanding" has not been removed yet. I don't care about the notice. Anything short of a total meltdown is a win!

EDIT: This post (502 of 508) was made 2 days after @kerry_w_brown's post of 2025-04-25.

I believe that I replied to the first post in this thread, not post 501. This does not seem to be working.

If replies are being inserted into the discussion, like a threaded view. changes post numbers, numbered replies become useless. 

2nd Edit. The notice has disappeared. Hazah!

3rd Edit: As of 10:42 am Arizona time 2025-04-28, replies to upstream posts have caused this post to be renumbered as post 508 of 517.  

Verified: Replies to upstream posts cause renumbering of downstream post numbers. This represents negative usability.
It does not speak well of the QA/QC process.

This is a minor glitch that I can live with.

No form has been submitted. I am tired.

When coming back to a timed-out post, the option to Load autosaved content is nearly invisible, like notifications. I know it should be there, so I click blindly.
This will be confusing to new users.

Totally! And it took them 4 months to even release anything. At this pace, it's a job for years.

Hey guys, can you check what is set as your time zone preference under Forum Preferences (under your avatar on top right).  I'm wondering if that got changed somehow for you.  Also, as my posts seem to have the right time stamp this morning, can you test yours with a reply here?  It may have been fixed over the weekend.

   White space is still an issue. Huge wasted space under the search before the posts are listed. Can't even see the first post without scrolling, so whatever updates were done didn't fix the main issue people were complaining about.
2. Originating post still isn't using the user preference for time. I have mine set to YYYY-MM-DD.
   
   

   Replies use the correct date format, though.
   
   

   
3. Forum post times seem to be correct for me, so not sure what's happening to others.

I'm not submitting anything anymore regarding these since I've already done it once and they were ignored.

Something doesn't seem right with the way the civil 3D forum is being displayed.  Would I be right in saying that the placement of various objects is dependent on the length of the post title?  i.e a long post title will push everything (author name, date of post, upvote etc) onto the second line.  This would mean that these objects can always be in a different location from post to post and there is no conformity.

I am not sure if this was the right decision.  I think everything should have its place and be consistent throughout the forum.  Let me know if I am wrong about it.
