May Release: We’re Making Important Behind-the-Scenes Updates to the Autodesk Community

Starting this Thursday night, May 15, through Sunday, May 18 (PST), we’ll be rolling out a series of behind-the-scenes improvements to enhance the Autodesk Community experience.

These changes are part of a broader effort to modernize how our content schema is organized. The goal is to support the new community designs. You won’t see any changes to the new design or your experience at this time.

What’s happening and how will this affect me?

We’re restructuring our content architecture on the backend. As part of this update, you may notice a few things:

  • Content from some boards will be migrated only for some hours. This just means we’re in the process of moving the content to a new home. After the migration, you will find all the content and information present in the respective boards.
  • The redirects we will implement will help ensure your saved links and bookmarks continue to take you to the right place.
  • We’re also putting safeguards in place to make sure everything transitions smoothly. All content, including replies, likes, labels, and accepted solutions, will move over with no impact to your contributions.
  • If you're subscribed to specific threads, you'll continue receiving updates as usual immediately after the migration. Your thread subscriptions and related email messages will not be affected.
  • If you have existing board subscriptions, they will be restored, and the related email notifications will resume six weeks after the migration.
  • The migration will be short and scheduled during low-traffic hours to minimize disruption.

Thanks for being part of the Autodesk Community.

Stay tuned, we’ll keep you posted with more updates as we roll out future releases.
