Hi, can you make some kind of labeling "layers"... I will give example... when I have GA drawings with assemblies labeled I usually add also bolt labeling to that drawing... but default settings for labeling is same as for assemblies that are already labeled... I would like label of bolts to be smaller font, maybe another colour... if I want that I must do it separatly for each label.... I can not do "select similiar" command becouse it will select all text on GA drawing... is there a way to select only labels on bolt? can you make it? Show More

Greetings developers, I suppose I am not the first to suggest this, and exporting the model in the STEP file is one great feature that AS lacks. Especially when you want to send a model to a third party, and you are not using AutoCAD Mechanical. For now, I see it isn't implemented in 2024 version. Hello Everyone, all of us have already met with complex steel Assemblies which are extremely hard to represent on drawings. I often find myself in a situation where I would need something extra to tell the fabricator where something should be placed. So sometimes it would be perfect if I could insert just coordinates direct in the drawing. A simple 2-step command would be enough (see Figure). Now I am solving this with UCS and ID command in model and copying it back to AS drawing.   I would very much appreciate if you could conider adding this type of Dimension to future versions of AS. Please make a separate, independently "floating" window for the Document Manager (see e.g. Management Tools), independent of the active drawing(s). Working on the drawing must be possible in parallel to the opened Window of the Document Manager. Show More

Hello devs, It would be helpful if we could select multiple rows in clash results. Sometimes there are a lot of clashes that do not matter to user. I'd like to select multiple clashes and ignore those at once. Right now I have to manually select a clash and press igore clash button multiple times to make clash list clear. Can the drawing preview be sped up as it very slow to open each drawing. I find it quicker to convert my files to pdf and then review them. But it would be nice to keep it all in AS Show More

Can someone at AutoDesk go through all the dialog boxes and match the diagrams to the text. There are so many that just don't make sense. One example is the shorten at UCS dialog box. There are numbers in the diagram that are not referenced in the text inputs. It is so confusing for new comers and it need not be.     Show More

Currently, a view can be rotated in detail drawing only manually, after generating the detail. The request would be to have the option to set the view rotation directly in Drawing Style Manager, in the detail style definition. Currently when you export from Advance Steel to Naviswork via the NWCOUT exporter the AS Properties don't transfer over.   If you append the native dwg into Naviswork the AS properties don't transfer.   If you export to Navisworks via dwfx the AS properties do transfer over however each time this is exported it give the AS elements a new GUID.  This GUID is what is used to append additional data to the elements as well as managing clash detection.   I would suggest that the NWCOUT exporter should include the AS properties and the GUID is retained throughout the project.
