Regarding PDF text import problems (Autocad do not recognize imported SHX fonts). I would to suggest some improvements. Maybe Autodesk should transform all SHX fonts to TT fonts in the next versions of Autocad products. i think when labeling up a drawing that shows where all assembly parts go (ga drawing) it be good  if wee could quickly an esaly  add only assembly labels   currently (as2019)  if u select labels tool  u get to start putting labels down one at a time or change the lable thats being useed one at a time or do multiple labels at once     but the change label thing has no effect what ever u select u still only get "part single" and if u use the multi  , then select one label, right click select all , advance properties  it changes the lables to assembly labels  , but it dose not change it to the name of the part u selected  it instead changes it to  the name of every part that uses that single part in an assembly   and L1/12  dose not = L1/1,L1/12 its just not the same  and so u have to edit it   and so u have to know the name of every assembly part u wont to label be for u can start labeling   as a result it so mutch faster to mauly rite lable's on drawing with a pen    am i mising sum thing or has no one at autodesk ever tried to label a ga drawing        Show More

The ability to edit/customize the camera symbol on drawings would be greatly appreciated.   I know we can currently edit the arrow symbol, but we are still left with a giant rectangle or circle on our drawings - this is not necessary for section/cut/elevation symbols on the plan view.     It would be incredibly efficient to be able to create a camera in the model, and have the plan/overview detail automatically generate a section/cut block where the camera is placed (without the rectangle or circle).   For callout views (on the same plane as the plan view), the rectangle is necessary, but most architectural/structural drawings that I have seen display a dashed or dotted+dashed line with rounded corners representing the callout area.  Show More

I use grids for layout purposes as well as normal building grid use. My layout grids I typically don't want to see on erection drawings. If there were a little checkbox in the grid properties to allow the grid created to be "hidden" from paper space that would be great.    Currently I'm placing those special behind the scenes grid lines on their own layer so It's easier to filter them out on erection drawing.  Show More

In regards to CNC... I have two CNC machines; one for tube and pipe, and one for channel and angel. I use the NC scribing settings in Management Tools. It is great that AS will scribe the outside shape of the single part being welded to the main part. However, it would be even GREATER if AS could also show the orientation of the object... such as a clip angle. If AS could scribe another line to show which side the leg of the clip angle goes on, it could eliminate the need for shop drawings, and/or a skilled craftsman to layout stairs per say. Having a remote detailing trainee working in the AS model is too much liability. To be $ productive while learning, is to have a trainee first start scrubbing shop & part drawings to produce shop ready drawings and learn shop & detailing procedures that way via a steel checker reviewing their wk.   The AS construction model will always be developed and managed by a senior steel detailer (5 years+) with great plan reading skills. A trainee will most likely not start modeling a project from design drawings for years.   In short, I would like a remote scrubbing module where trainee(s) cannot access or be able to corrupt the AS master model, but be able to update the 2D drawings they are scrubbing from the master database, management tools and drawing  processes for that project.      Show More
