Is it possible to include bolts in the kiss file export.  I know the KISS standard can do hardware and more.  Could we get the bolts exported either as a "Site Bolts" assembly or attached to each assembly.  Currently we are manually entering the information from the bolt list and if this could be automated it would save me a lot of time. We had weld symbols improved last year, however, they are still not done per AWS requirements:   1. The extension is too small with angle between lines not per standard 2. Parametric dimensions should be impoved to a level where you can dimension everything with parametric dimensions.   We should be able to create parametric centerlines and dimension from those. Should be able to dimension from arcs and circles. The angle dimensioning should be easier. I would like to suggest that a command gets created that would allow you to Select any Joint in your model and have it mark the Master in one colour and mark the slave joints associated with it in another colour. Within the holes there is no opition for a square type of hole, lots of other types. We get this request all the time, for users placing in HD bolts and making plates to form the bolt box base, they want to punch a square hole, so we have to tell them to use a contour to create it and array or polar array. Be a lot easier to create a hole pattern an then set the parameters for the setting out, then just change the type from round to square. Show More

Hello,   in the last time updates in Advance Steel were a combination of fixing bugs and inplementation of new features.   This caused a lot of trouble. The new features sometimes were buggy or they were unnecessary for most customers. On the other side there were some important bugfixes. The problem is that can't get one without the other. You fix your problems from older versions but you get a lot of new and unstable features at the same time!   I think there must be a clear difference between feature updates and updates for bugfixing. In the past there were new features only in the major releases and over the year we got some service packs to fix problems. And it worked fine. If two parts are "different in geometry", the result of this command is not specific enought. Usually this message means that there are differences in features. So the parts should be shown with their features and the featues that are not identical should get unique colors to be able to identify them and correct easily what is not identical. There is no consistency in the macro development.   Some, you select object, then plate ... some of them you select object, hit enter, select plate, hit enter. Very time confusing for a program to have no continuity, and is a waste of time to be staring at the command prompt at every click.   Please find one general pattern that all the commands will follow, and stick with it.
