Kiss File include bolts

Kiss File include bolts

Is it possible to include bolts in the kiss file export.  I know the KISS standard can do hardware and more.  Could we get the bolts exported either as a "Site Bolts" assembly or attached to each assembly.  Currently we are manually entering the information from the bolt list and if this could be automated it would save me a lot of time.

Thanks Jonathan for this idea.

Would you mind letting us know, where the model information should be imported to? Perhaps there is another format available or we may work on another one, that provides this information.

best regards

For site bolts, Another assembly at the end of the stadard kiss file export called "Site Bolts" would work for me.  For shop connected items, include the items under the appropreiate assembly.

The kiss standard is capable of handling fasteners similar to the way it handles everything else.

We import into FabSuite and would like to be able to not have to manually import bolts. Is there a format that would work with that?

Hi everyone,

I have a request regarding the KSS file generated through advance steel.

At this time bolt, stud and anchors are not included in the kss file.

but as the american standard the they should have take place in the KSS

file .So my request is that please include the bolt, stud and anchors into

the kss file.

Thanks!

We will be further evaluating this one in the near future and will keep you posted if we need any additional feedback or clarification. Please feel free to continue voting on this one as it will help us with the continued evaluation.

Regarding FabSuite: there is a direct export and import of model information possible using the smlx-file format:

Be sure to include special parts too please. Many of us are using catalog items in our assemblies :leicht_lächelndes_Gesicht:

BTW the smlx does not contain special parts neither.

Thanks,

Mark

:neutrales_Gesicht: Just noticed this started in 2016. I'm not going to hold my breath on this one.
