Ability to Mark Master Joint and have Slaves to that master marked also

I would like to suggest that a command gets created that would allow you to Select any Joint in your model and have it mark the Master in one colour and mark the slave joints associated with it in another colour. Similar to the Mark Main Part of Assembly - as shown in screencast below - where the main part turns blue and the other parts turn red.

Great idea and a much needed feature IMO. Especially on large models.

I'm sure you know it, but here's a possibility to make it with search filters.

  • create a search filter for the master of the group, set a color in my case "red", additional mark should be set to true
  • create a second search filter, for these which are not the master, set to another color ("yellow"), additional mark should be set to true
  • if you now activate both search filters, you willsee a good result

not perfect, but it works :

I think the original query does not relate to being able to identify master and slave joints in a model. You are right, for this instance the search queries are fine. The request is instead to be able to identify the master joint and all of it's associated slaves, which is a much more useful tool.

There's very little (in my opinion) value in being able to identify which are the master joints in a model if you can't see which other connections this will affect. In large, complex models, it's pretty much a case of not using this function as it's becomes impossible to keep track.
