Speed up drafting - Direct selection tool

Selecting points the way Illustrator does with Anchor points and its direct selection tool enables modifying existing sketches much faster. This would apply to edit profile sketches, model and detail lines, point elements and editing spline Control Vertices (CV's). E.g. hold the right mouse button to enter direct selection, drag over the points to select and edit the geometry by the selected points instead of by the lines. Joined lines (when snapped by end points) currently behave as two individual points, editing only works by editing the lines themselves, if they were joined it would be much easier to create skewed sketches. It would omit several actions.

Clever observation and solution.

No need to reinvent the wheel. What you're describing is EXACTLY Autocad's selection behaviour (the blue grips on selected objects). And such feature has been requested in Revit for many years now. Just seems nobody at Autodesk is listening to customers' requests. Autodesk refuses to implement this feature claiming that parametric editing is much easier (and more logical). I guess old habits die hard.

My comments on that would be that in the project environment, floors or walls do not have to be parametrically constrained. Skewed angles are perfectly fine, since once the initial sketches have been taken care of, other elements can be locked to the initial sketches. So it's precisely for these initial sketches that such behaviour would be helpful.
