Move multiple point elements based on single gizmo action

Editing surfaces with reference points would be much easier if one could select multiple points and move them along the axis of the selected gizmo. One of the points should display a gizmo with the X,Y,Z axis and dragging on one gizmo would move all the points. Currently this needs to be done per individual points. This would obviously also apply to editing spline by points.

I've never used surfaces, but I created a family to make an array of logs on  a spline, so this would be very useful. It's very hard to control/edit those families in the project.

I will take the opportunity to ask that we could be able to change in the project the type of line and the number of the reference points directly in the project, instead of making the family from scratch (basically). Also, the ability to have a spline through points and not through points would be very nice also!

Regarding the logs on a spline: you can draw a Mass in Place, divide the spline by segment length or number and then align the log family to the nodes of the subdivided spline. Perhaps it's best to create a new idea for converting splines as Autodesk doesn't take comments about different ideas into consideration.

Thanks, @Intuos5 , but I would like to be able to reuse the family, so in-place mass would be the last of all the available options.

I took your advice and make a new idea, go here to vote:
