In Revit Home, local files no longer show up in the Recent Files list. Clicking the project central shown in recents automatically creates a local instead of opening the central model. That is really awesome, especially for large firms or complex project with many users.
However, for small firms, older hardware, and firms with remote users (especially those with slow connections), it's a bit of a hassle to manually open the local files every time in lieu of force-rewriting the entire local. I'm not here to argue the pros and cons (which have been discussed ad nauseum in several other threads), but I see the need for an additional option for small firms/older hardware/remote users.
The current options for opening files from Recent Files are:
- Overwrite existing copy
- Append timestamp to existing copy
Can we have the following instead:
- Overwrite existing copy
- Append timestamp to existing copy
- Open existing copy (optionally disabled via Revit.ini)
