Native Parameter for Room Number in Object Tags

Native Parameter for Room Number in Object Tags

Currently, when tagging electrical equipment in Revit, the only available option is the Location parameter, which displays both the room name and number (e.g., Office 101).

For many projects, this clutters the view. Often, we only need the room number for clarity in electrical plans.

Request:
Please add a native parameter for Room Number (and optionally Room Name) that can be used in equipment tags, or allow the Location parameter to be split into its components.

This would reduce unnecessary text, improve readability, and eliminate the need for Dynamo or shared-parameter workarounds.

Has anyone else run into this limitation?

So I don't know MEP Revit, so I have to ask, is the Location parameter pulling data from a linked in Architectural model or do the rooms have to be in the same model?  Either way, it seems illogical that Revit would be creating another parameter to show what room something is in.  I know I'm asking the choir here, but why Autodesk, just why???
