MATERIAL DISPLAY PRIORITY SETTING

MATERIAL DISPLAY PRIORITY SETTING

when 2 or more elements overlap, user should be able to setup Material Display Priority, so the correct material is shown on the overlapping area.

For example, on section view with concrete planter wall standing in 1m deep soil (floor), i want planter wall shows material as concrete not soil, but current Revit always shows soil in this case, and I have no method to set which material should have high priority to show up.

The walk-around option could be to join wall and floor together which breaks the outline of wall section, not ideal. Another option is to correct floor model which requires extra work. easy solution would be let user to set up something like concrete always has high display priority when overlap with other materials.

Why are you modelling your floors running through your walls. Break you floor (planter soil) at the walls and then you wont have the issue.

@Mike.FORM As I mentioned in the post, you can certainly modeling everything perfect by spending more time, but I don't believe any Revit user want to build everything perfect with no overlapping. An easy fix on  material display priority will fix all views right away. I know 3dsMax has material priority.
