COBie Extension - Allow use of Uniclass Ss parameters to set COBie.Type.Category for Types

COBie Extension - Allow use of Uniclass Ss parameters to set COBie.Type.Category for Types

The System (Ss) classification table for Uniclass 2015 is often the most relevant classification for building elements that are not MEP systems.

The Standardised Data Tool allows you to assign either an EF, Pr or Ss classification parameter and values to any object Type.

However, in the COBie Extension you can only use the Pr and EF Uniclass classification parameters to populate the Cobie.Type.Category fields, even though Pr is often too specific and EF is too general. In many cases the Ss code is actually the most relevant.

Please can we align the options between the Data Tool and the COBie Extension to allow the use of all 3 tables to populate the COBie.Type.Category parameters.

Hi there - I am not on the Revit dev team... but I am on the BIM Interoperability Tools dev team.
You could probably use Parameter Mapping as a workaround for now. Beyond that, we are going to see what the level of effort would be to get that added in an upcoming release.
