better interface for rotating plan views

better interface for rotating plan views

When rotating an enlarged plan view, the current interface requires selecting the crop box then rotating the box in the opposite direction of the desired plan rotation. And if the crop box is not square and the rotation is 90 degrees, the revised crop will be 90 degrees out of whack with the desired view. All of this is highly unintuitive.

Ideally, when the crop box is selected for rotation, both it AND the view contents would rotate TOGETHER, like rotating a photo (or any graphic) in a page layout program. This would save endless hours of user confusion not to mention crop box resizing, gridline dragging etc.

Wouldn't a scope Box be more helpfull for you?

You will have more control on how it is presented (size, rotation etc.) and it can be aplied to multiple views.

Changes of a scope box will change also all views with that assigned scope box the same way.

The only thing I miss with scope boxes is the option to create more then only a rectangular shape.
