Basically, in some cases people forgot to relinquish elements and synchronize without releasing elements. In Archicad (because I am user of both program) there is a way to kick out that user when you need to continue working on file and do not have access to the user to communicate about this. Besides, I came across very strange things like elements in a linked file to a host were owned by a user which were not on that structural linked file and on my machine it gave me message to place request and that person never had the file open or under working. Any way, I wish you could find a better way to kick a user out temporarily to the time again he/she can join the file to resolve the issue.
