We don´t work with Vault, so when we copy assemblies to create alternative versions of our furniture, we (as beginners in Inventor) want to make sure that we are working on the right files. For that it would be helpful to see the directory of the assembly/part we are working on in the title bar. Just as it is possible in AutoCAD:

In order to create a configuration of an assembly we need to create a new property in Rapresentation that can associate the view to the position, this can help to create a perfect indication to the mounting. At the moment I am forced to rename the view with the name of position to associate them.

At this moment the shared views rendered image has too much reflection and shadow. Especially when you use colors to indicate items. A setting for less reflection and shadows would be a great addition to the application. Now the view-settings are not saved, perhaps a setting saved in the Shared view would be a good solution.

Sometimes drawings without shaded parts are difficult to read. Also somtimes drawing with color shaded parts are "too informative" and somehow become difficult to read. My suggestion is to shade all parts, regardless of their own color or texture in a light shade of grey. It would be great if there were a possibility to customize this shade color. I think it will make most of the drawings much easier to read.

When mass of a part/assy is a critical criteria of a design, it would be nice to be able to have "representations" in a part where you can change the material so you can see the difference between each mass. When making a sketch/drawing of the part/assy with the different material suggestions, you can have the values linked in the drawing/sketch so it will always be updated whenever you make changes. This would be instead of changing the material manually, and note the mass for each change and include it in the drawing/sketch. Any updates in the latter case will force you to recheck the masses for each material, creating more room for errors. With such a possibility, you could have a main material for a part and just switch between the material in a "representation" or "design view" without ruining the physical properties in another linked assembly or drawing/sketch where the part is already included. Hope that was understandable.

In competitor products there is option for the flat pattern to be projected as a folded. Its easier to create drawing which show both flat pattern and folds as projection.

When adding a Hole & Thread Note the text is sometimes larger than the space between the extension lines, so the text is placed outside the extension lines. With "normal" dimensions it is also possible to place the arrows outside the extension lines, but not with Hole & Thread.

We call out drill size bolt holes (in fractions) but often add a partial countersink. For the countersink, we use decimals only. Currently, we call out the thru holes in fractions but manually add the information for the countersink. Because of our standard tolerances, we don't want both the fraction and decimal equivalent shown on the drill hole and countersink. It would be great if there was an option to show either the primary or alternate for various hole parts instead of just primary or primary and alternate units .

When using cable and harness the wire numbers append to the part number which then means you have a long list of unique part numbers which in a lot of cases is not ideal. Why not have the wire identification numbers applied to their own individial column.

The punch function in the sheet metal parts work well as a reminder as to the cutout and drilling sizes needed for different switches plugs and sockets in a face of a cubicle for example. But as we download a suppliers cubicle model and keep a copy to use again and again we don't drill or punch holes in the base parts or we can't use the cubicle again. So other than copying the panel multiple times you cannot use the punch feature. Why can the punch not be used in normal parts and assemblies to save us from having to look-up all the drilling and punching patterns for everything we use?

i working for different companys. There are some companies that work with Vault and some that do not. So I need the the content center in the vault and also the local content center. It would be nice if you could enter in the project settings whether you want to use the local or the Vault content center.

Será oportuno poder usar a área de trabalho do Inventor (e outros softs da AutoDesk) simultaneamente com a amostragem de um vídeo do YouTube ou outro qualquer, as vezes o trabalho dentro do Inventor pode ser um pouco extenuante e nada melhor será poder rodar um vídeo diretamente no Inventor enquanto relaxamos e continuamos trabalhando nos projetos maravilhosos, felicitações! When using the API to move the attachment point of leaders on a drawing with GeometryIntents the code will fail when the intent is a FeatureControlFrame.
