Show directory in title bar

We don´t work with Vault, so when we copy assemblies to create alternative versions of our furniture, we (as beginners in Inventor) want to make sure that we are working on the right files. For that it would be helpful to see the directory of the assembly/part we are working on in the title bar. Just as it is possible in AutoCAD:

You could use ilogic to write the path and filename tot the display name. We use it to wrigth the title to the displayname

doc = ThisDoc.Document
doc.DisplayName = ThisDoc.Path

If you use the event trigger "before save" to run this rule you can see the path in your model

I would highly recommend using vault and getting it up and running.  It's worth every minute of time it takes to get it in place.  You can eliminate multiple copies of files, you don't lose files, and frankly if it's in Vault you don't need to know what folder it's in.  The 1st couple years Inventor was released there was no Vault and it was a constant nightmare trying to manage files.  If you were to take Vault from us now, you might as well take Inventor as well because we can't imagine operating Inventor with out Vault.

I guess ilogic would be very useful for a lot of things, but someone would have to learn it in his/her leisure time.

@mikeh2

It seems like our CEO thinks that we don´t need Vault.....

If you can't help your ceo with efficent working. Maybe it's time to look for another employer. A lot of people can play ceo, not so many can Cad.
