Can you also specify which version of Inventor you are trying to install... Starting with Inventor 2014 and newer, Inventor only supports 64Bit on a Windows 8 operating system.

Download 64-bit Inventor instead.
If your Windows 8 is only 32-bit, then consider upgrading your Windows to 64-bit as well. There is absolutely zero reasons to stay on 32-bit Windows, since your CPU is already 64-bit.
I would recommend that you try downloading your product using the virtual assistant by following the directions here:
