Maya Student 2016 not installing at path

Anonymous
Not applicable

I am trying to install maya 2016 student version. There are no errors during installation. But when the installation is finished, maya is nowhere to be seen in the path where it has supposedly been installed. I check the properties of the folder and there are 0 files.

I have done clean uninstalls and reinstalls several times, but the issue persists.

Hi @Anonymous,

Welcome to the community!

Sorry to hear about the issue. Are you running Windows 10? Have you tried disabling your antivirus and installing from the virtual agent?

When you install does it state that May is ALREADY INSTALLED on the left side?

To Diagnose and Fix installation problems automatically, please see the new Microsoft tool for this here:

For more information on the Autodesk KB Support article concerning the clean uninstall of Autodesk products, see this link:

Might start at those above.  Good Luck!

How do I use the virtual agent to download the student version? I couldn't manage to do it.

I preformed a clean uninstall according to the instructions, but the problem still remains.

HI @Anonymous,

You would first generate the license within the education community, then you would install the virtual agent. The program download is the same, it just uses a different method.

Stupid question time: are you installing to the default location, or somewhere else?
