Autodesk CFD Install Problem

I was installing Autodesk CFD and everything was working fine, then it got to around half way through and failed to make any more progress. I figured it didn't take long to get to where it was, so I would cancle the installation and reinstall. When I try to uninstall what had been installed, it says "uninstall failed" and the non-working program is stuck on my computer.

Hello maxschommer and welcome to the Autodesk community!

It looks like you need to find out more about downloading or re-downloading software, or are having issues that may be resolved by re-downloading.

For Windows users, before downloading products on Windows 10, please check that the product is compatible.

Cancelling was your biggest mistake.  It was not stuck, it was simply downloading additional install files that were multiple gigabytes in size.  Depending on your connection speed, it could possibly take a few hours.  Patience would have gotten you installed.  Now you have a serious issue.

To Diagnose and Fix installation problems automatically, please see the new Microsoft tool for this here:

For more information on the Autodesk KB Support article concerning the clean uninstall of Autodesk products, see this link:

Good Luck

I did a clean uninstall and wiped cfd from all of my files. This seemed to work, because I was able to install it in 10 minutes afterwards. I think the original problem was that during the install I switched from wifi to ethernet and the installer didn't know what to do. Thanks for all of your help,

Thanks for your reply, it was a much more focused solution than the above general "try all of this" solution and it ended up working. Thanks,
