I think it would be really cool if I could display Cut / Fill component road grading alternates how ever I choose. i.e. Cut=Red, Fill=Green -like everyone is used to.

Unlike Google Earth, I haven't been able to find the specific date of images. Also when I compare images of the same area, Bing images are often outdated.

I would like a built in title block option added to the design presentation toolset. Currently there is a watermark and it can work if you fight things a bit. I would like to just drop an editable title block on it and take a snapshot using the title block as the limits for a presentation to public/clients/stakeholders. ~Andy

The new function Component Display emerged in Infraworks 2018.2 ,has the following limitations: (1) for a bridge , users can't hide a specific one of the girders or piers,nor could road components be shown by sections. All the same type of components are displayed or hidden together. Therefore, users have no easy way to build scenarios for bridge and highway reconstruction. (2) the function is effective only when the structure is chosen. If the bridge is not chosen, all hidden components will come back again. Therefore, users have no way to use this function under a scene roaming state, nor could users export the scene with hidden components in a video. Actually there is a big demand for BIM in highway reconstruction projects during the next decade. Please vote for function to be better.

Infraworks read a car/people's starting and ending position (eg. objectID, object_type, x, y, z) regularly from an excel/csv file, Then, the car can be animated to drive from the starting point to the end point along a road. In this way, Infraworks can show the real world's situation if the data is feed from some detectors (eg. CCTV system) to monitor the road situation. Multiple cars or people should also be displayed and animated.

It seems there are similar ideas. But my idea is to have a consistent navigation method for ALL autodesk applications. Keep the existing methods as a legacy option. But please, PLEASE standardize the navigation. THis is even more significant of an issue when using the AEC Collection (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Infraworks, Navisworks, Revit, etc.).

We need a Lot Grade component similar to the LotGrade subassembly in Civil 3D. However, we need one more additional internal grade break in the new component that the subassembly currently doesn't have, to create the building pad. I am fairly new to Infraworks but a couple of features I think would be useful - Set the eye height above a road and then allow you to "walk" the road at that height, it would be great in the land development sector to get the feeling of how the allotments etc sit from the road. - Second point Oculus support, It would be great if the Rift Controllers could be used to navigate around the model, a point and go kind of movement, again being able to give the feeling of standing on the road and seeing the surroundings at eye height would be great with the Rift on.

using pipes for example. The material and shape can be controlled directly by attributes similar to how pipe size is created from the size attributes. currently i'm making a red circular pipe, red rectangular pipe, green circular pipe, green rectangular pipe, etc, etc this functionality can also be extended to many other feature types and attributes

Because it is quite difficult to see what they are when they are transparent. Use similar buttons as they use in PC games, like Cities skylines.

Hello. I would like to "hide" those Contours which aren't important to be shown as I my drawings don't have the precision of those Contours. I'm suggesting you to create a tool to hide contours of "Shape Areas" on which elevation doesn't vary more than 1%. Maybe to create a adjustable tolerance. Thank you. best regards

It would be really useful to have the ability to lock (and unlock) chainage points. On more than one occasion grips have been accidentally moved due to the nature of how IW works. This has happened on bridges. It would be helpful to be able to set your bridge start and end point and then lock them.

I would like to have a 3D visual representation of a (draped) Reference Grid on the InfraWorks 360 DTM. Just like we can do in AutoCAD Map/Civil 3D. We should have some options to control visual representation of text and gridlines and what they are, DBase or UCS Grid or maybe both.
