Sorting and filtering in Fusion Manage are inconsistent from tab to tab. Several important tabs (most notably the Bill of Materials and Attachments tabs) have no sorting or filtering (or it is very limited), which makes navigating a large BOM or a heavily populated Attachments list genuinely difficult.   One of the customers we work with runs BOMs with hundreds to thousands of unique parts, each with one or more drawings attached. To pull the right drawings for production or procurement, they currently keep everything in a single folder on a network drive and copy out what they need by hand, because there is no meaningful way to locate and select those attachments inside PLM. The only option within the product is to download the entire set in bulk and sort through it on a local drive, effectively repeating their existing process. The fallbacks elsewhere are not much better: a browser's Find feature only matches rows currently rendered on screen, and exporting a BOM to Excel just to find a line is a step backwards.   What we'd like to see:   Consistent sorting and filtering on the BOM and Attachments tabs. At minimum, simple per-column filters; ideally, the same filtering a regular workspace view already offers (including richer multi-condition filtering). The same capability extended to all grid/list tabs in the system, not just these two. The ability to SAVE those filters per user (nameable and re-applied on demand, the same way a custom View works today), with the option to set a saved filter as the default for that tab. Sharing a saved filter with others would be a welcome nice-to-have. The ability to download the attachments of the filtered items (or alternatively, based on selection within the filtered items)   Having spent some time searching the forums, I'd like to note this isn't a duplicate of any single existing idea. Dear Autodesk, Currently, only the Date data type is available in Fusion Manage. We would like to request the addition of a DateTime data type. At present, when synchronizing fields such as Date Modified from items, only the date is shown in Fusion Manage. While it is possible to check version details to identify the sync status, having both date and time directly available as a property would significantly improve usability. Displaying the exact date and time of the last modification would make it much easier for engineers to quickly determine whether an item is up to date, without needing additional steps or cross-checks. The current Fusion Manage in‑browser PDF viewer is very difficult to use compared to the DWF viewer. Missing functionality includes: Mouse‑wheel zoom Click‑and‑drag panning CAD‑style navigation consistency These limitations significantly reduce usability for 2D drawings and force users to download PDFs locally, breaking review workflows. Background In Autodesk Fusion Manage, sections within a workspace can currently only be shown or hidden based on permissions (roles/ACLs). This approach is limited when processes are strongly workflow-driven. This limitation is especially visible in the Change Requests workspace. When creating a new change request, it would be beneficial to initially display only a minimal set of fields (e.g. “Initial Request”). Additional sections—such as analysis, impact, decision, or implementation—should become visible progressively as the workflow advances. Current Challenge: At present, all Related attachments are typically displayed in a single list within ECR, ECO and DA workspaces. When multiple documents are added—such as drawings, specifications, validation reports, supplier documents, approval files, and compliance records—it becomes difficult to maintain clarity and quickly locate the correct file. This issue becomes more significant for large or complex projects where many departments contribute documentation over time. When workflows are implemented and executed in Fusion Manage, user needs to select the name of the assignee/reviewer amog the full users list. In a company with more than 100 users, one person might not know the one which will follow in the process, but the workflow will need to be executed anyway. It would be strongly needed to implement the "Role" based wf execution: tasks should be assigned to roles, not to people. That's different from security roles, where we setup the access permissions. Role should be an indipendent field to be defined and a user should be able to participate in many roles. A role might also have a leader. At the same time, in wf definition, an administrator should be able to decide wether a task needs to be performed by "any" user belonging to a certain role or by "all" users belonging to the same role.   Show More

Enhancement Request for Workspace views to allow filtering by accessing Pick List Values. When we are viewing the list of records in PLM (i.e.: Change Orders, Request), for the columns / fields that are Pick Lists, it would be very beneficial to be able to view, select, and filter values from the Pick List itself, rather than having to type in values. This would eliminate human error and would allow filtering based on a specific workflow state for example, rather than trying to remember what the various states are.   Show More

I’m imagining a toggle (or similar) on the place component dialogue that allows the user to pick either increase quantity (the default option) or add new line item as above. The reason for this is to add extra property information to a BOM view such as location ID’s or similar for the individual components, If the quantities are grouped then this information cannot be accurately maintained. I have seen workarounds that use the grid to maintain this data, but this makes the syncing to ERP and ongoing maintenance of the BOM overly complex. Show More

On a Change Order it would be helpful to have some indication that there were historical markups on the attachments page. If there is a markup it will show the markup icon but once a new version of the dwf is uploaded there is no way to know what had a markup without going into each item and looking at the file history. It would be greatly beneficial if we could know from the attachments page on an ECO if there was a markup on any previous versions even if there is not one on the current version. Show More

The new update to the managed item tab just rolled out yesterday. So far it's been a huge hit with our users! Love the addition of adding word wrap to paragraphs so we  can see the whole thing on longer additions.  One pain point though. So they added the ability to filter and customize your view to only include the columns you want. This is great, however it doesn't seem to save if I change items, refresh, close/re-open, etc. Not sure if this is a bug that'll get fixed but I think it should save between items.  Show More

Similar to ACC, Fusion Manage should allow users to markup a PDF and download the file with every markup. This is useful for companies dealing with vendors who need to be able to download the PDF with all markups and don't have access to it any other way.    Other Autodesk tools are using this capability and there is redlining capabilities already within FM for DWF and DWG file types. In the General Settings I can control the Bill of Materials quantity field, but this only applies to the unit quantity not the QTY Pos. The Vault Connector writes item quantity to QTY Pos.    Although Inventor allows us to set rounding on BOM precision, Vault ignores this and displays the quantity in all its precision glory. And as Vault has no setting to control quantity precision we at times have quantity with 14 decimal places of precision. The Vault Connector then fails at syncing the item data to Fusion Manage.   My idea is to first to extend the max decimals on the existing quantity field to at least 20. And second give us control over QTY Pos as there is on the existing unit quantity.      Show More

Dear Autodesk,   If we have a look on the attachments of an item, which has been synced from Vault Professional, only the filename is visible, twice, also in the title and it is hard to identify what origin file it is. We are using heavily custom properties where also a document number is defined.     Our wish is to first of all sync also the file properties to Fusion Manage and to have the possibility to modify the columns with it, to show e.g. document number, revision, English description and other properties which are mandatory to identify the correct file.   Thank you Show More

This Idea is about implementing a standard, out-of-the-box solution for managing users and their permissions in Fusion Manage via Microsoft Active Directory (AD) Groups.    This functionality is essential for large organizations aiming for increased security and better compliance with internal and external standards. It would be useful if users with administrator permissions in Fusion Manage were able to access private reports created by other users, either through delegations or just a separate section in the Reports area.   This primarily comes from people going on sick leave & the rest of their team still needing access to the reports, or forgetting to share reports prior to going on leave. While sharing the report once created does work, it's quite often forgotten and this would be a useful fallback when access has not been granted any other way. Show More

Description: When filtering in a workspace view, multiple column filters are currently always combined using an AND condition. Within a single column, it's possible to choose AND / OR, but between columns, only AND is supported. Proposal: Extend the filter functionality to allow an OR condition between columns, for example through a toggle option in the filter menu. Within the Security Users window we should have the ability to apply filters for active/inactive/deleted users as well as define and save sorting or various views just as we can elsewhere in the tenants.
