Network license error (Error code -15.570.0)

Dear Team,

We had successfully configured network license in LMTools Utility. But from last few days we are facing strange issue while opening Autocad software.

After execution of Autocad software we are getting an error : A Valid license could not be obtained by the network license manager. [Error -15.570.0]

We approached our Autodesk vendor M/s. ImageGrafix Engineering Services Pvt. Ltd for the solution of this error. Their team also tried a lot & all possible solutions to get rid off but no luck.

We also noticed that after execution of Autocad software server ping has been stopped automatically & after killing the Adsk process it resumes. Our Autodesk vendor has been tried following solutions to resolve the issue :

1. Delete Cascadeinfo.cas

2. Upgrade network license manager to the latest.

3. Add LMTools in antivirus exemption list.

4. Clean uninstall & re installation of Autodesk product on Client Machine.

5. Reconfigure service in LMTools Utility.

6. Added Autodesk ports in Windows Firewall (2080,27000-27009).

7. System & User variables sets in clients as per given on Autodesk Knowledge Network Forum.

We are sharing error logs & network license file for your reference.

We are requesting you to provide a accurate solution for this strange issue at the earliest.

Thanks & Regards,

Deepak Parasher.

HI @Anonymous,

Welcome to the Autodesk Community!

What changed in your environment that might have caused this issue to arise?  Are there updates that got applied to your license server or to your workstations?

Can the workstation still ping the license server? I like to verify this first. If it kind even find it then it certainly is not going to connect to the server application.

Please tell me what Windows Server version is installed and are you utilizing ipv6?

Are your workstations and the server obtaining date and time uniformly such as from a NTP server? If the clients dont match the server closely enough then the server will reject license checkouts.

When you opened the ports did you do so on the license server?

I hope that we can resolve this issue quickly for you.

another cause for the license is invalid error could be this

This error can also be caused if FlexNet Licensing Service 64 is disabled.  You need to enable the service in Services console of your Windows operating system.

1.Open Windows Task Manager
2.Click on Service
3.Locate  FlexNet Licensing Service 64
4.Right click on it and select properties
5.Change Startup Type to Automatic

this would be done on the client machines

Hello John,

Thanks for your reply.

We are using Windows Server 2012 R2 on our server with IPV4.

We didn't applied any updates on our workstations. We have noticed that after execution of Autocad ping process has been stopped which is very strange. Otherwise it is working fine.

We had checked date/time on our server & clients. The time & country zone is same. We also added all required ports in Windows Firewall. (e.g. 2080-27000-27009)

Please suggest....

-15 is usually due to a couple of different problems (as explained above.)  First make sure your NLM is running and licenses are available by performing a status enquiry in LMTOOLS.

1.  IPv6.  You must be able to PING the server from the client and it must be able to get the correct DNS to IPv4 translation. If it comes back with an IPv6 address, then make a hosts file entry to correct it.  If it cannot be PING'd then you need to allow ICMP to your firewall exceptions.

2.  Firewall blocking 27000 and 2080.  You need to make exceptions for lmgrd.exe and adskflex.exe and/or TCP 27000 and 2080.  You can test this from the client using Internet Explorer (only IE works.)

http://servername:27000

http://servername:2080

Replace servername with your server hostname.  The result should be a jargon page.  If you get a 'Page cannot be displayed' error, then your ports are blocked.

3.  Rare, but it could be a problem with your NLM version.  I have found that LMTOOLS version 11.7 is the most compatible with all Autodesk products to date (2004-2017) and if the problem persists, you might try this version.

Good Luck!
