i am getting so frustrated with ACADE! WHY would you have 2 different ways to create a terminal list? And why would you not have the same “Available Field” options in each report? this same scenario may exist on other features, but this is where i am at on my educating myself   The people who initially wrote the software of ACADE are intelligent, but they probably never used cad to create a drawing or project. I mean “come on”, there is more to an electrical project/ components than just N.O. and N.C. contacts that need cross-referencing and I see that being common comment on this forum a lot.   The software I use in conjunction with Autocad then with Autocad Mechanical to generate our electrical circuits, terminal, cable and component list was generated in-house 25+ years ago using FoxPro and Visual Basic, and this is so similar to ACADE it is scary but also was/is a lot more flexible and user friendly and made sense.   This gentleman was a draftsman => cad operator => then programmer, he knew what was needed to make his life easier as a cad operator and he built his program based on that. Real World Experience.   I think AUTOCAD Electrical should have a group, a think-tank consisting of draftsman => cad operator => cad designer=> then programmer to move forward with this product, not just rest on the AUTODESK name, act like they care!!!! It's a bit clunky having to clear out the profile name from the registry to get the .arg to load in from the path in the command line switch any time you want to change something. Can it be forced to read form that location every time? Show More

I would like to see dialog boxes made resizable. Many of the dialog boxes are not resizable, which has been an ongoing condition for many years. Also, those that are expandable, do not retain the updated size upon exiting the command. Is this something that can be practically implemented? Show More

It would be great if Schneider's database was updated. Currently there are a lot of old products, for example Multi9, and "new" products like Acti9 and Easy 9 are not there(and they have been on the market for at least 10 years). So what’s so fundamentally important that Autodesk has dropped the ball and are driving ACADE into a tail spin of the slow painful death of an application Dynamic blocks they don’t work correctly Imagine a symbol that’s a dynamic block by changing the blocks settings you Could Auto rotate the symbol Move the attributes around Change the standard of the symbol IEC/NFPA/ghost etc etc The options are endless You could have a symbol for a VFD with options for additional functionality like resolver /brake/encoders/extra i/o /filters etc etc all in one symbol You could have a symbol that has the electrical symbol/footprint/pneumatics/hydraulics all in one symbol You could have an emergency stop push button Options 2 X NC contacts 2 X NC contacts + 1 NO contact 2 X NC contacts with illuminated button 2 X NC contacts + 1 NO contact with illuminated button   I’m sure you can think of more instances where dynamic blocks would give you better functionality and reduce the pain that is ACADE So why don’t Autodesk just fix the problem and make all our lives better Show More

Today's idea   Error messages Error messages tell you something is wrong with your design so   There is a legitimate method in resolving the error If the error is not genuine then it should be modified in the code not to throw up the error   Choosing to add a button to ignore the error  is disingenuous  or demonstrates ACADE fundamental flaws in the code Which makes you look like fools   Remove the ignore button and actually code the product correctly   PS its pretty embarissing that the demo projects have errors in them as a matter of professional pride the demo projects should be error free Show More

Add fields in the terminal plan report and terminal strip table corresponding to the DESC1 to DESC3 attributes of the terminal. This would mean we can add useful descriptions to aid testing / commissioning on site, rather than having to cross-reference the schematic. Show More

My terminal numbers have more than 10 characters in them, 10 seems like a relatively small amount of characters to limit terminal number to.    Please can you increase the amount of characters allowed for TERM01 to 26.    Thanks. Show More

My idea is to have additional drawing descriptions like the Project descriptions.  This way we can have more drawing specific information that can be filled into the title block using title block update.  I'd also like to be able to change the name of the these additional descriptions using a similar default_wdtitle.wdl file.   My thought is that these additional drawing descriptions would contain the Drawn By, Drawn By Date, Approved By, Approved By Date etc. as well as possibly doing revision information for per sheet revision tracking.
