i am getting so frustrated with ACADE! WHY would you have 2 different ways to create a terminal list? And why would you not have the same “Available Field” options in each report? this same scenario may exist on other features, but this is where i am at on my educating myself
The people who initially wrote the software of ACADE are intelligent, but they probably never used cad to create a drawing or project. I mean “come on”, there is more to an electrical project/ components than just N.O. and N.C. contacts that need cross-referencing and I see that being common comment on this forum a lot.
The software I use in conjunction with Autocad then with Autocad Mechanical to generate our electrical circuits, terminal, cable and component list was generated in-house 25+ years ago using FoxPro and Visual Basic, and this is so similar to ACADE it is scary but also was/is a lot more flexible and user friendly and made sense.
This gentleman was a draftsman => cad operator => then programmer, he knew what was needed to make his life easier as a cad operator and he built his program based on that. Real World Experience.
I think AUTOCAD Electrical should have a group, a think-tank consisting of draftsman => cad operator => cad designer=> then programmer to move forward with this product, not just rest on the AUTODESK name, act like they care!!!!
