This error appeared when I finished downloading autodesk inventor. I was trying to have a 30 days free trial to see if it helps, but I can not even start it. What should I do?
Hello @Anonymous
I wonder if the issue is similar to what we have been seeing with AutoCAD. Try the solution at this aricle:
Inventor 2017 product code is 208I1 So you would need to make the folder 208I1_2017.0.0.F and the LGS.data should have _STANDALONE.

Kind Regards,
I thought if its a trial then the LGS.DATA file must indicate _USER and not _STANDALONE. I was thinking trials are now being authorized by having an Autodesk account? UPDATE: A
@Anonymous
Also I have heard it you start messing with the licensing aspect of the software the trial period will be null and you will have to install it on another machine. Update: Also are your trying Inventor 2017 or INventor Professional 2017? If the professional version, the folder that @BJ.C indicated would be 797I1_2017.0.0.F

You pretty much nailed it Mark. I mean, the problem with the licensing service is fixable for liensed commercial versions. The problems with trials is that as soon as you start mucking with the licensing on that, it will invalidate the trial -- which is permanent on that machine. If you get it fixed, you will likely be left with only the option to activate. Save the hassle and try another machine, as Mark suggests.
A lot of trial errors this release...
